Unfortunately, while you can easily house-rule away the gunslinger - many GMs have a "guns don't fit in my campaign" rule - it's much more difficult to find a reason to prohibit alchemists. Granted, the module was revised a few years ago, so they had a chance to improve the monster choices and get some high-touch-AC monsters into it. Alchemists and gunslingers basically laugh their way through the modules. AND it gets worse as the modules go on, because at later levels you're fighting bigger slower brutes with miserable touch AC. It (the module, or the module authors) just never anticipated putting monsters up against a bunch of PCs that could reliably hit touch AC. And Rise of the Runelords has a whopping zero monsters with decent touch AC. Why does this matter? Because both of those classes hit touch AC. The one big weakness I found in Rise of the Runelords is that it's from a time before gunslingers & alchemists. r/Pathfinder_RPG - For general non-Society Pathfinder discussion /r/Pathfinder_ACG - For the Pathfinder card game /r/PathfinderOnline - For the upcoming Pathfinder MMO /r/rpg - For general RPG discussion Other subreddits you might be interested in: Society Group Specific Subreddits- let us know if you'd like your group's subreddit linked here!
